1.in the near future, with the ongoing housing developments along A61,there will be at least 4 folds increase to the volume of traffic along A61,making it extremely difficult for the residence of greenway to access/exit the estate safely.

2. The stretch of A61, where the proposed site ,is a well known accident black spot ,due to the bend on the road and sharp descend in its approach to the proposed access point. The safety of greenway residents who use the public footpath for access through the site will also need to be considered.

Original submission

I am writing to submit my objections to the above proposal. I believe this proposal is unsuitable for the followings. 1.in the near future, with the ongoing housing developments along A61,there will be at least 4 folds increase to the volume of traffic along A61,making it extremely difficult for the residence of greenway to access/exit the estate safely. 2.The stretch of A61, where the proposed site ,is a well known accident black spot ,due to the bend on the road and sharp descend in its approach to the proposed access point to the above proposal, this will increase the risks of major accidents, due to the natural increase of vehicle speed,reduced/lack of adequate braking distance, reduced visibility to avoid collision .also in extreme weather condition with icy road, this risk is much increased. Personally I had experienced my car skidded across A61 on exiting from Halcyon approach ,which is much further down the road.also each day, there are numerous times the emergency service responses especially ambulance, also police and fire engines at times speeding along this stretch of A61,therefore the increased risks of major accidents as a result can not be ignored.it would be a criminal neglect if this is not given due consideration.there have been car crashes and pile up in the past which ended in the residence,s back hedges. The safety of greenway residents who daily using the public footpath access through the proposed site for the purposes of taking children to and from school, work and for public transports will also need to be considered. 3.the risk of flooding is already increased and experienced by some on this estate ,even at this early stages of the development on the opposite side of the road to the above proposal, serious flooding therefore can not be ruled out. 4.safe and clean environment for greenway residents will also be affected, especially with (inevitable)increased noise and air pollution . As my property bordered this proposed traveller site, what steps are being considered and taken ,to ensure general maintenance and to prevent litter/...redacted... ,accumulating the perimeters and even into the ground of my property. These are serious concerns which I would appreciate serious consideration prior to your decision to this proposal.
